We stopped over in the 2 bed studio as part of a road trip through France. It was a great place for a relaxing for a few days. We had some meals out, some cooked by our host, and could have done our own BBQ. Although we did not stay in the Chateau itself, we could see that it would lend itself to a great house-party; one with a medieval theme would be great fun.”
I have stayed here twice. The chateau is set in beautiful countryside. The building is majestic and has a fascinating history that the owners will bring to life for you with their stories. The facilities are beautifully presented in tune with the building yet modern and comfortable. The surrounding areas are stuffed full of interesting places to visit so there is a lot to do. However , if you want calm and relaxation , then it is in abundance should you so choose. The owners are welcoming and knowledgeable about the local area and with the addition of a pool this summer this idyllic location will be my number one spot to stay in whilst in France.
Thank you for a lovely stay, really relaxing week. What a lovely house and perfect hosts. Surrounding is also very interesting. Thanks again, we hope to return.
Place is lovely. Really relaxing stay. We've been twice, once as a couple, the other with a large group.
The decor is really in keeping with the old atmosphere of the beautiful Chateau.
We did a quite lot locally. Some lovely lakes and rivers to swim in. Excellent restaurants and walks nearby.
Main thing though is the peace and quiet - you can really get away from everything here, and spend hours reading, relaxing, sipping wine etc. The owners also said they were putting in a pool this year, which will be an excellent addition.
A wonderful place to stay for the whole family, plenty to see and to do in local towns. Wonderful scenery combined with great food and drink can only make for a fantastic holiday retreat. Great history surrounding the buildings on site. The chateau boasts an impressive "games room" with a pool table and fridge for all your favourite drinks!
The hosts are impeccable and highly recommend the food cooked by Belinda.
What an amazing experience for our family to have stayed at this chateau. The building is truly beautiful and to our 3 and 5 year old nothing short of magical. Inside is the perfect blend of original features but with beautiful bathrooms and a superbly equipped kitchen. The chateau and the facilities were clearly done to the highest standard and as a home, not just a holiday rental. By far the best swimming pool that we have ever had as part of a holiday rental, clearly built with no expense spared, all set in amazing French countryside. The holiday was made even more special by the lovely owners, who could not have been more welcoming and accommodating.
I stayed here as part of a group of four. the chateau is set upon a dramatic hilltop with a quaint river in the valley behind. Staying here, you really feel like a French lord of old. The owners had recently installed a heated pool which, in this Summer's heatwave was more than welcome A perfect getaway from a city lifestyle.
A group of us stayed in the Chateau over the bank holiday weekend - what a stunning place! It allows total relaxation whilst providing more than enough entertainment (with a games room and new swimming pool) as well as combining the grandiose ancient castle feel with luxury furnishings (the most incredible bathrooms!). Not only is the chateau and surrounding arae beautiful, but the owners (Belinda & Lee), are amazng and happy to help with anything. That, plus Belinda's delicious food really did make the stay 11/10.
As a family, we have stayed here on seceral occasions, be it a weekend stop-over, a pre Christmas get-away or as part of a large party. Lee and Belinda are marvellous hosts and we have always been made to feel very welcome plus Belinda's cooking is superb! The chateau is beautiful, steeped in history and set in peaceful countryside. If you really want to 'get away from it all', I couldn't recommend better!
